Thank you for choosing Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services, a division of Rhodes Mobile Notary Services LLC.
Our goal is to provide professional, reliable, and convenient mobile notary and document services while ensuring compliance with Ohio law and protecting the interests of every client we serve.
By scheduling an appointment, requesting services, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Appointment Scheduling
Appointments are available by advance scheduling and are subject to availability.
Same-day, evening, weekend, and holiday appointments may be available for an additional fee.
Appointment times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Appointment requests are not considered confirmed until acknowledged by Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services.
2. Travel & Service Area
Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services proudly provides mobile services throughout Dayton and surrounding Ohio communities.
Travel fees are based on appointment location and travel distance.
Travel fees are separate from Ohio notarial act fees.
Quotes are provided before appointments whenever possible.
Additional fees may apply for extended travel distances, after-hours appointments, weekends, holidays, or locations requiring special access.
If an appointment location changes after travel has begun, additional travel fees may apply based on the new location.
3. Identification Requirements
All signers must present a valid government-issued photo identification that complies with Ohio law.
Acceptable identification may include:
State-issued Driver’s License
State Identification Card
United States Passport
Military Identification (when permitted)
Other government-issued identification permitted by Ohio law
Expired, damaged, or unacceptable identification may result in cancellation of the appointment, and applicable travel fees may still apply.
4. Signer Requirements
Every signer must:
Appear personally before the notary.
Be willing to sign.
Be aware of the document being signed.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate with the notary.
Appear to understand the nature and consequences of the transaction.
Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services reserves the right to refuse service whenever Ohio law prohibits completion of the requested notarial act.
5. Document Requirements
Clients are responsible for ensuring documents are complete before the appointment.
The notary cannot notarize:
Blank or incomplete documents.
Documents requiring unauthorized legal advice.
Documents prohibited under Ohio law.
The notary is not responsible for preparing, selecting, or completing legal documents unless specifically authorized by law.
6. Fees
Ohio notarial act fees are charged in accordance with applicable Ohio law.
Additional fees may apply for services including:
Mobile travel
Same-day appointments
Evening appointments
Weekend or holiday appointments
Hospital visits
Nursing facility visits
Correctional facility visits
Witness services
Document printing
Scan-back services
Courier services
I-9 Employment Verification
Apostille assistance
Other requested services
All applicable fees will be disclosed before the appointment whenever possible.
7. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been approved in advance.
Accepted payment methods may include:
Cash
Credit or Debit Cards
Electronic Payments
Other approved payment methods
Returned payments, declined transactions, or chargebacks may be subject to additional fees and collection efforts as permitted by law.
8. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Appointments cancelled with reasonable notice generally will not incur a cancellation fee.
However:
Travel fees may still apply once the notary has departed for the appointment.
Clients who fail to appear may be charged applicable travel fees.
Clients who are unable to complete the appointment due to incomplete documents, lack of proper identification, or other client-related issues may be responsible for applicable travel and service fees.
9. Appointment Delays & Waiting Time
Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services understands that unexpected delays may occur. We ask that clients extend the same courtesy to our notaries.
Clients should notify us as soon as possible if they anticipate arriving late or require additional time.
Notaries will wait up to 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time unless other arrangements have been made.
If additional waiting time is requested and the notary is able to accommodate the delay, a waiting time fee may apply.
If a client cannot be reached or does not arrive within the waiting period, the appointment may be considered a no-show and applicable travel or service fees may apply.
If the notary experiences an unavoidable delay due to traffic, weather, or an emergency, every effort will be made to notify the client and provide an updated arrival time.
10. Witness Services
Witnesses may be available upon request for an additional fee.
Witness availability is not guaranteed.
Witness requests should be made when scheduling your appointment.
Witness fees are separate from notary and travel fees.
11. Loan Signing Services
Loan signing services include witnessing signatures and notarizing documents as required.
Our notaries are Loan Signing System (LSS) Certified and are committed to providing accurate, professional signing services.
The notary is not an attorney and cannot:
Explain loan terms.
Interpret legal documents.
Provide legal advice.
Recommend whether documents should be signed.
Questions regarding loan documents should be directed to your lender, title company, escrow officer, or signing agency.
12. I-9 Employment Verification
Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services may provide I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification services when authorized by the requesting employer.
Unless specifically required by law, this service is not a notarial act.
13. Professional Standards
Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services is committed to:
Conducting every appointment with professionalism, integrity, and respect.
Maintaining client confidentiality.
Following all applicable Ohio notary laws and regulations.
Providing courteous, dependable, and timely mobile services.
Protecting the privacy of every client we serve.
14. Safety & Access
To ensure the safety of both clients and our notaries:
Appointments must occur in a safe and accessible location.
Clients are responsible for obtaining visitor authorization for hospitals, nursing facilities, correctional institutions, gated communities, or other secure facilities.
We reserve the right to discontinue or decline services if conditions present a safety concern.
15. Limitation of Services
Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services is not a law firm and does not provide:
Legal advice
Tax advice
Financial advice
Immigration consulting
Document preparation unless otherwise authorized by law
Clients should consult an attorney or other qualified professional when legal advice is needed.
16. Right to Refuse Service
Service may be refused when:
Ohio law prohibits the notarization.
Proper identification cannot be presented.
A signer appears unwilling or under duress.
A signer appears unable to communicate or understand the transaction.
The document is incomplete.
Fraud or unlawful activity is suspected.
Conditions present a safety concern.
17. Limitation of Liability
Certified Mobile Notary and Signing Services exercises reasonable care and professionalism in providing services.
Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We are not responsible for the legal sufficiency, accuracy, enforceability, or contents of documents provided by clients.
18. Privacy
Client information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Sensitive information is treated confidentially and safeguarded to the extent permitted by law, professional standards, and ethical business practices.
19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio.
